We have included information that we hope will assist you in the day to day care of your pet. Visit our Pet Health Library, take a tour of our hospital, read about some interesting case studies, you'll find our newsletters and much more...
We are more than a hospital
Staffed by four senior Veterinarians, a Practice Manager, five Nurses, two Receptionists plus ancillary staff, the complex also has five animal wards - separate dog and cat wards, intensive care, isolation and plush accommodation for special boarders. Designed by award winning architect, Gerald Melling, wards have glazed skylights so our guests can enjoy as much sunlight as possible.
We use technology
The Hospital is fully computerised with a laboratory on site. We are one of the few practices in Wellington with the latest digital x-ray facilities. Fully equipped surgical and dental suites use the latest monitoring equipment, along with the safest (as used for humans) anaesthetic techniques. We use ECG and ultrasonography to enhance our diagnostic abilities. We have, and will continue to, invest heavily in the best available equipment that is rigorously maintained; ensuring your pets’ and our staff’s best interests are cared for.
We think holistically
Complementing our sophisticated equipment and facilities we are one of the few practices in New Zealand offering acupuncture for dogs. We do not compromise on the level of care we give to our patients - all receive the care we wish for and give to our own, and our families’ pets.
We love family
After 30 years of business and being one of Wellington’s longest established practices, it is a source of much pleasure to be caring for our third generation of pet owners. We are not so large that we don’t know who our clients are - they and their families are very important to us all. Many clients remain loyal to us even when they move some distance and we have clients from as far away as Wanganui, Otaki and the Wairarapa, as well as all suburbs in Wellington and the Hutt Valley. Our staff is all long serving and have great rapport with our clients - call into our Hospital and see for yourself!
